Instructive Biomaterials Lab is a new lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Michigan Tech directed by Dr. Muhammad Rizwan. Dr Rizwan is looking for 1-2 research assistants (part time) to work on the development of hydrogel-based biomaterials for tissue engineering. This position is suitable for those interested in learning hydrogel synthesis, characterization, and applications for cell culture in 2D and 3D conditions for tissue engineering. Besides strong motivation and desire to learn new research skills, ideal candidates will have the following qualifications.
1: Hands on experience with wet lab techniques
2: Mammalian cell culture experience and cell
viability/growth assays
3: Experience and basic knowledge of polymer
modification and characterization
4: Excellent written and oral communication skills
